Rhythm School is a new project in Swansea aimed at
young people aged between 11 and 17. The project brings together young
people from across South Wales to take part in a 'Rhythm Orchestra', for
3 hours on one Saturday afternoon a month.
Participants are taught to handle and play a wide
variety of percussion instruments.
This activity not only teaches musical skills, but also offers the opportunity
to make new friends, have fun, build confidence and play a part in a vibrant
youth group.

Two Swansea
based community music tutors, Boyd Erlam & Matthew Collier, are
responsible for managing and teaching on the project. Both have a
long record of working throughout South Wales delivering rhythm-based
workshops to both adults and young people.
They both work regularly for West Glamorgan Music Service, can provide
references if required and hold current Enhanced Criminal Records
Bureau disclosure certificates. All activities are covered by public
liability insurance. |
